Hello, everyone! Review time again! When I did the shoot for these, I shot a total of five pairs of lenses, including this one. FIVE! PAIRS! In one day! (Which explains why my eyes are a bit red in these photos.. ehehe.) Anyway. This pair is quite different from all my other ones, since it's a color that I haven't worn in a long time (the last time was in 2012) - green! And such a vivid shade of green, too. These are Fynale J01 Honoo Green Circle Lenses from LoveShoppingholics.
COLOR / DESIGN
When I first saw these lenses, the thing that caught my attention the most was the deep green color. Since I was looking for green lenses that I could use for cosplay (for GUMI, ehehe), I wanted a pair that would be visibly green even against my dark brown eyes and in low light settings. While searching, I came across this pair, which was a fairly new design when I chose them. The design itself isn't anything new, but the color..! Only, these are more of a forest green shade, a deeper green compared to GUMI's apple green eyes. It's fine though, since at least I have no problems with the green showing up in photos.
Super enlarging at 15mm, but for some reason these look more like 14.8mm to me.. hmm.
Despite having such an opaque color (most lenses with this much color tend to be thicker and uncomfortable to wear), I can wear these without any problems at all. I haven't tried wearing them for more than 5 hours though, so I can't say if these are okay for whole day wear. I'll try wearing them at a con soon, to see.
Super nice choice of lenses for cosplay / dressing up. I very rarely wear lenses with a diameter bigger than 14.5mm these days, but I think this is a good size for cosplay, since most characters have huge eyes. Not saying that these aren't okay for daily wear - if you feel you can pull off wearing this bright color out, then go right ahead!
A few reminders:
☆ It is your responsibility to minimize the risk of wearing lenses, and you are best advised to consult your eye doctor beforehand. Kindly please read the wear & care guide carefully to ensure proper handling of lenses. The rule of thumb for lenses: if you experience any discomfort, remove the lens immediately.
☆ Though the lenses were sponsored by LoveShoppingholics, everything written here is 100% my honest opinion.
☆ All photos used in this review belong to me. Please do not take them without my permission!!
By the way, just a tiny reminder - I have a LoveShoppingholics giveaway up on my Facebook Page! One person will win a pair of contact lenses, in any design of their choice! Giveaway ends on the 10th, go check it out! Thanks for reading ☆
