Daiso Japan Week // lotion + body butter *

March 11, 2014

Down to my last two Daiso Japan Week posts, and I thought I'd squeeze in this mini-review of two of their body care items - Daiso Fragrance Body Cream in Pink Grapefruit and Daiso Fruity Butter in Cherry.

I picked up the Pink Grapefruit body cream to use for my dry hands. It smells really nice, very citrusy, my favorite type of scent! It also comes in Romance Rose and Floral Bouquet. Unfortunately it's a bit too heavy to use as an everyday hand cream, so I'll be giving this to my aunt, who is more into lotions than I am.

The cherry body butter though, I looove. When I opened it for the first time I was surprised when I got a whiff of the super fruity scent. Smells a lot like cherries! No wonder they put "Do not eat!" on the lid, haha. Even though the scent does pack a punch, I don't think it's too overpowering, but if you're not into sweet scents this might not be for you. Since it's a body butter, it's quite thick, but I find it sinks into the skin nicely. I don't have exceptionally dry skin, but I do like to use it after a shower, on my elbows, knees, legs and feet, whenever I feel like it. I also love the cute packaging; the bright cherry red is very eye-catching, I love how it looks on my bedside table. It also comes in Apple, that one comes in a cute apple green container like this one. I recommend this to anyone who has dry skin, or just anyone who wants an affordable body butter to use, to pamper yourself while relaxing at home.
