new look + shiny new blog URL

New home + new look for the new year. Hello!

Hi everyone! I'm pretty sure some of you have noticed that I've changed my Twitter and Instagram usernames over the past week. And much earlier than that, I deleted my old Facebook page and created a new one. I'm still in the process of changing usernames on my other accounts, but finally, here it is, my brand new blog name (and matching URL, to boot): Oh My Little Girl ヽ(^▽^)ノ

Also, I've been asked a couple of questions quite a few times already, even before the big URL change, so I'll answer them here:

Why the big change? What happened to 'Little Forest Girl'?
You see, for the longest time, I've been asking myself if I should keep Little Forest Girl for myself or if I should pick another name for my blog. I've always put it off because of two reasons: one, my ever-supportive friends and readers believe that it fit me and the blog well so there was no reason to change it; and two, I've always thought of myself as a mori girl, and that I was following the lifestyle and fashion quite well. So then, why did I finally change it? I'll be honest and say that it's this: I found it too restraining. Though I'm quite happy that a number of local and foreign mori girl enthusiasts read and followed my blog, I also noticed that there were people who didn't quite have the same idea of mori girl as I did. It happens in every subculture and most usually in Japanese ones: there are people who will have a different idea of the fashion than yourself. And sadly, most of the time, if you don't fit into their idea of the fashion, then you're not following it properly. That's great and all, but let me just say this, I don't think I should be taking shit about the way I dress from people. So instead of having to deal with unnecessary stress (and paranoia, because I keep thinking people hate on the way I interpret the style), I decided to just get rid of the label altogether and be true to my own personal style. I am, in every possible way, still a mori girl at heart, but I like trying other things as well. I am currently obsessed with aomoji-kei, and mori girl is just one of the many things that comprise it, so I've decided to just wear whatever the hell I want, while staying true to my girly mori self.

Why 'Oh My Little Girl'?
This is actually a bit embarrassing for me to answer publicly, but I'll go ahead and tell you anyway. I got the name from another person's username. There was this girl at school that I used to talk to from time to time, and her whole personality captured me entirely that I ended up thinking about her non-stop for a time. Needless to say, yes, I had a huge crush on her. She was good at photography, with words, everything. Her blog inspired me to take mine seriously.. and that was what, four years ago? I won't mention her name, as I'm sure there are people on the Internet that still know her by this name (but a little ninja-ing around Google might help, if you really want to know). That was long ago though, and she isn't as active on the net as she was before. She even closed down some of her sites, I think. I still think of her from time to time, and just recently, I thought about her when I heard this song by Japanese singer MINMI. I don't know if she got it from here, but when I heard this song I knew I had to make it mine. Everything just fell into place, really.

So that's about it! I'm pretty excited about this big change, so I hope you're all as excited as I am! I might have a tiny giveaway to celebrate this change, who knows! Also, as I said, I'm still in the process of changing usernames on all my platforms, so I apologize if any links on this blog are a bit wonky. And before I forget, I recently made an account on, so if you'd like to ask me anything you can just leave your question in the little box on my left sidebar. Thank you so much for reading! Happy Thursday! ♥
