GEO Xtra Flower Bonaire Brown (WFL-A64) *

November 9, 2012

Hello everyone! I'm back with another much delayed circle lens review, this time sent to me by the lovely people over at Brisbane-based online store, mukuCHU. This pair actually arrived sometime last September I believe, but had a bit of trouble reaching my home due to problems with Philippine Customs ;; Thankfully I was able to get them even after the 30-day period. These lenses are GEO Xtra Flower Bonaire Brown

This particular series from GEO is called Xtra Flower because the designs somewhat mimic the look or pattern of certain flowers. For this design in the Flower series, it takes after the look of the Bonaire.. which, after a quick search, I found out is actually a coral. *O*

The lenses, in the lens case. You see it too, right? The color is definitely yellow and not brown.

COLOR / DESIGN: ★★☆☆☆
Though I really like that it has that unique coral design and that it blends well into the eye, the design blends a bit too much into the eye that under certain lighting you don't even see it anymore. It just looks like you're wearing one of those pure-black dolly lenses. If you have dark brown eyes like me, this can be a problem. Also, I don't like that it's yellow, not even a bit. (I wonder if they made it that way just so it looks like the real bonaire coral.) For quite a bit of time I was debating whether they were Bonaire Brown or Green, actually. So yup, just two points out of five.

ENLARGEMENT: ★★★★★
Super enlarging at 15mm! Since this one has a black limbal ring, paired with the coral design it looks extra-enlarging, even more so than my other 15mm lenses. Those with smaller eyes might want to stay away from these.

COMFORT: ★★★★★
As with all of my GEO lenses, no problems at all! Super comfortable. I can last almost a whole day with these on.

OVERALL: ★★★☆☆
Three out of five stars. I think it all depends on what you are looking for. I don't recommend these for people with dark brown eyes, as the color isn't that visible. Though these are nice and can give a cute dolly look, I think a different color or design from the Flower series would be a better choice. I personally don't like lenses that have very overpowering designs or super-thick limbal rings, so these weren't exactly what I was looking for. Do keep in mind that that's just my personal opinion though! :)

A few reminders:
☆ You are best advised to consult your eye doctor before wearing any lenses. It is your responsibility to minimize the risk of wearing lenses. Kindly please read the wear & care guide carefully to ensure proper handling of lenses. If you experience any discomfort, remove the lens immediately.
☆ Though the lenses in this review were sponsored by mukuCHU, everything written here is 100% my honest opinion.
☆ All photos used in this review belong to me. Please do not take them without my permission!!

Would you like me to review a different color from this series of lenses? Or would you like me to review a specific design? Do let me know in the comments :) Up next in my contact lens to-review list is GEO Super Angel Brown from Lens Village. Please do watch out for it
