Shuuren: Nippon Wonderland

December 18, 2011

A few months ago, I was asked by the UP Japanology Society of UPLB to be one of the judges for a fashion competition to be held at their annual event, Shuuren: Nippon Wonderland. Of course, because I absolutely love Japanese fashion, and because I knew that my good friend and fellow J-fashion enthusiast Luisa was going to be a judge as well, I immediately obliged. Here are some of the photos from the event.

Aian (who was my +1) and I had breakfast at McDo before after meeting up. Our calltime was 7AM so we didn't get to eat or anything. Crazy!

The only decent photo of my first outfit. Taken by Luisa with her magical 5D * O *

Luisa's pretty shoes!

Because we were so early, we decided to kill time at the swings, haha.

Cute games and other booths! The fish catching looked really fun.

Pocky! Don't really know why Pocky sold at conventions are way overpriced though..

Aian, who didn't get a wink of sleep the night before.

Ohai Luisa!

Boyfriends sitting in front, lol!

sweet lolita Janine

pretty clogs that made my feet hurt after almost 10 hours

J-Pop merchandise. I see 2PM on the cover of Junon!

Yapo's pink creepers

Christian Joy aka Rikku/X Infinity, who won first place in the fashion competition

Second outfit of the day. For those at Shuuren who didn't recognize me after I changed out of my first outfit, hello! This is what I normally look like.

Super cute beige DM's. Definitely buying that pair soon!

Suuuuuuper tiring event. We were so tired that we didn't even get a chance to take photos with Ashley anymore, because she was still judging the singing competition when we left. But overall the event was a good one. Congratulations to Christian Joy, Janine, and Nicole (who I didn't get to take a photo of, sadly) for winning the fashion competition, and thank you again to UP JapSoc for inviting us to be part of the event! ♡
