Hello everyone! I wasn't planning on posting this anytime soon—I'm still up to my ears in backlog photos—but seeing as I already have enough photos for it, I decided to make this post anyway. This is my review of one of the two contact lenses that I got from The Purpektion Shop! These are the Super Nudy Brown Lenses (also known as XCH-624) from GEO ♡
The lenses up close. The brown is a bit more of a yellow-hazel color, much lighter than my other brown lenses.
The GEO Super Nudy Contact Lens series is the 14.8mm version of the GEO Nudy series (14mm), which is one of GEO's all-time bestselling lenses. Just like the Nudy series, these lenses have lighter colors than most contact lenses, and are designed to make your eyes look bigger while still maintaining a very natural look. The only apparent difference of the two is that the Super Nudy is 0.8mm bigger and has a much more visible black outer ring.
Lenses when worn, under natural light.
When worn, with flash.
Color / Design: ★★★☆☆
As much as I really like that the color is very bold and stands out even against my dark brown eyes, there's nothing natural about it at all! It's too yellow-y and a bit too pixelated for something that claims to be a natural-looking lens. The color and design makes me think of reptile eyes, actually. Which is a good thing, because I like reptiles. But still, I was expecting these lenses to be a nice natural color that I can use for everyday, but the color stands out a bit too much. Giving it a 3 because even though they make me think of Twillight sometimes, the effect that I get from them under natural light is still really pretty. Gecko eyes!
I love love looooooooooooove the enlargement on these lenses! I cannot say it enough. For just 14.8mm lenses, they seem to give me more enlargement than my 15mm pairs! And it's not freakishly enlarging either. Just the right amount to give me that dolly look without looking like an alien. Love it!
No problem here! GEO lenses have not once failed me in the comfort department.
4 out of 5! I really like these lenses, with the only downside being the unnatural look of the color. I think the grey ones would have been a better choice for me. But still, the Super Nudy is a really nice series, so you should give them a try, but you might want to choose the other colors instead. :)
...that's about it! Next up for review are my GEO Café Mimi Macchiato lenses, also from The Purpektion Shop. (I originally had a pair of Macchiato lenses sponsored by CandyBlush.net, but I seem to have lost them. orz||| Luckily, Vanessa of The Purpektion Shop was kind enough to sponsor a second pair for me to review. Yay!~ Thank you so much! ♡)
