Hello everyone! This came a bit later than expected, but here it is! My review of the second pair of lenses sponsored by CandyBlush.net!~ What I'll be reviewing today are the much hyped GEO Princess Mimi Bambi Chocolate Brown lenses, lenses which I think every girl who follows the gal fashion has at least one of.
The lenses up close. I love the design of the outer ring, really unique! ♥
Lenses when worn, under natural light.
When worn, with flash.
The Princess Mimi series was designed by Tsubasa Masuwaka, one of the top and most popular gal fashion models in Japan. They were originally sold exclusively as Bambi lenses, under Angelcolor.jp in Japan and manufactured by GEO. GEO repackaged this lens as Princess Mimi, and was made available to other countries as well. They're still the same lenses as the Bambi lenses, but with a different name :) These are probably one of the most popular lenses right now, and almost every gal model can be seen wearing them in magazines such as Popteen and Popsister.
Color / Design: ★★★★☆
I really like this design, especially the outer ring! And the color is lovely, a nice reddish brown. I also like how the color isn't so opaque-- it's sort of diffused in a way, like paint splatters. The only problem I have with this is the effect that the two-tone gives. It's reddish-brown but in the middle is a yellowish ring. It's nice that they added a two-tone to add some depth to the design, but quite honestly I can't bring myself to like it. Don't know why, really. I've been trying to figure out what it is about the design that I don't quite like, but I just can't seem to put my head around it. I kind of prefer the much more natural designs, I think-- the ones that blend nicely into the eyes.. but not too much lol! Oh well. Moving on~
These are 15mm lenses, but for some reason I feel as if they give me a similar effect as my Jelly Pink lenses, which are only 14.5mm. (I'm kind of obsessed with having huge doe eyes, lol!) Enlarging, but not as enlarging as my Café Mimi lenses. Still gives a really nice dolly look though!
Super comfortable, as with all my other GEO lenses. I barely even remember that I have them on, even if I'm away almost half of the day. 8+ hours and my eyes still don't hurt, not even a tiny bit.
Giving this a 4 overall! I just don't like how it looks on me, but either way these are really, really nice lenses! A definite must have especially if you're into the whole gyaru (or even mori gyaru~) look ;)
Now that I'm done reviewing these lenses and my GEO Café Mimi Latte lenses, the huge sponsored giveaway c/o CandyBlush.net is up next! This is the first major giveaway I'll be hosting on this blog, so I'm so excited! That's happening before the week ends! For now, I will leave you with photos of myself and a super-adorable Malamute named Yoshi~~
Thank you for reading! :) ♥
