If you've been following my accounts on my social networking sites, then you must already know that just last week I received my second sponsored package from CandyBlush.net!~ Donna has been more than generous in sponsoring my lenses, and I love her so much for it~ Not all of the lenses in the photo are mine though! Only three of those pairs are mine to have and review, and the other three will be put up for grabs pretty soon.. but I'll get to that next time. :)
First up for review is the GEO Café Mimi Latte lenses!
What the lenses look like up close. Pretty similar to real latte art, no? ♥
Lenses when worn, under natural light.
When worn, with flash.
The reason why I got so curious when I found out about the new GEO Cafe Mimi lenses is because I learned that the designs are named after different coffee drinks. Aside from being named after coffee, the designs themselves were patterned after the different drinks. This one is called Latte, so the design is similar to what a caffe latte would look like when you look at your coffee cup from above. (Being a huge coffee addict myself, I knew I just had to get myself a pair. Imagine my excitement when Donna offered to sponsor me lenses from this line * u *)
Color & Design: ★★☆☆☆
Even though the pattern was so vivid on its own, when worn it looks really natural and is very subtle. Even under natural lighting, you can barely see the latte design. What a letdown, really, since I was hoping that these would really make me look like I had coffee eyes when worn ; ^ ; I really like the thick brown ring around it though. If you're looking for nice everyday lenses, these would be great.
These are 15mm lenses, perfect for people who want their eyes to look bigger. What's nice about these is that the enlargement is just enough to make your eyes look doll-like, but not so large that it looks alien. I think the reason is because the ring outside is brown instead of black, so it's not so intense and blends nicely into your natural eye color.
As I expected, these lenses are super comfortable to wear. My very first pair of lenses were from GEO, and in my opinion their lenses are number one when it comes to comfort. They may take a bit of getting used to, especially if you've never tried any of the bigger lenses before, but after a while you'll forget that you even have them on!
Giving this a 4/5, just because the design was a bit too subtle for my liking. Love it for its comfort and instant dolly effect, though! Just wish they were a bit lighter and more vivid, and didn't disappear when worn :(
Will be reviewing GEO Princess Mimi Bambi Chocolate next, plus the huge sponsored giveaway c/o CandyBlush.net! That's happening next week loves, so keep posted! :) ♥
