review // EOS Candy Pink (G-208 Pink) *

April 21, 2011

Finally, the long-awaited review! I initially planned on reviewing my JBE Candy Magic Blue lenses first, but because I've been getting so many questions about this particular pair, I decided to do this one first. (And because these are my current favorite, hoho.) These contact lenses, EOS G-208 in Pink, also known as EOS Candy Pink or JBE Jelly Pink, were sponsored by

JBE Jelly Pink when worn. See how visibly pink they are? * u *

Let me start off by saying I LOVE THIS PAIR TO DEATH. When Donna asked me to choose one pair of lenses to keep for myself (I was sent two to review and one extra), I just knew which one I wanted. Also, when they arrived, I put off opening this particular pair for about three months, telling myself to review the other two first. I just knew once I put these on I won't be able to use any of my other lenses lolol! And I was right. After I started wearing these lenses, I've completely forgotten about all my other ones. When I look for lenses to wear when going out, I always find myself reaching for the Jelly Pink ones. Why was I not born with pink eyes??

Color: ★★★★★
The color is a light pink color, which for me is perfect. It's not too light and not too dark, just the right shade of pink for me. They do sometimes tend to look almost-white when under bright light, and makes me look like a Siberian Husky lol! But I find that cute, so no worries.

Design: ★★★★★
These lenses are similar to Beaucons Jewels in design, but are 14.5mm in diameter instead of 14.0mm. This pattern is actually quite popular, and is often seen used by gyaru models in Japanese fashion magazines such as Popteen. I actually first saw them on Dolly Wink model Tsubasa Masuwaka. When I first saw the pattern up close, I thought that they would look really blah when I wear them because they look like the weird dots you see when you turn off the TV (really old TV's okay), but no. It blends perfectly into my dark brown eyes :3

Enlargement: ★★★★★
I love the enlargement on these. Enlargement is what you would typically expect from 14.5mm lenses, but the thick black ring around it gives it a little extra. And I love big lenses, so this is perfect.

Comfort: ★★★★★
Unlike my first JBE lenses, I've had no problems at all wearing these. They're super comfortable, you'll even forget you have them on! In fact, these are so comfortable that I completely forgot to take them off before going into the pool when we went swimming x____x;; Lovely readers, please don't be stupid like me orz.

Overall: ★★★★★
Woo, a 5/5! I dunno if this is just my bias or what, but I love love love these!

Seriously, these are really nice lenses! Gives a nice dolly look, but not too unnatural. Perfect for both lolita and gyaru alike. Super cute, raises your moe-ness by 9999 percent lol! I'll probably order a couple more if this one gets damaged or expires.

Doing more reviews soon! That is, if I get the time for it orz. Will be reviewing my JBE Candy Magic Blue lenses next, and maybe re-write my review (read: take better photos) for my JBE Love Brown lenses that I previously reviewed here.
